At Meaningful Change: Clinical & Consultation Psychology we provide psychotherapy services across the breadth of psychological disorders, existential matters, and relational challenges. We do this across all age groups and sociocultural backgrounds.
The clinical intake, or first meeting, is an opportunity to present your concerns, elaborate on challenging experiences, and express your goals for a positive treatment outcome. The next 2-3 sessions will routinely be about exploration and arriving at the most effective treatment for your needs. Meaningful Change: Clinical & Consultation Psychology works primarily with empirically supported treatments, and our clients can expect our recommendations to be consistent with a scientific standard of practice.
Psychiatric Services
& Medication Management
Meaningful Change: Clinical & Consultation Psychology provides psychiatric medication management services for the express purpose of treating the mental health conditions of our patients. Much like psychotherapy and counseling, psychiatric medication can be a useful and effective method of treating a variety of mental health disorders, though as a practice standard, we endeavor to use the "minimum necessary" dose to facilitate sustainable change. Towards this goal, patients should be aware of the following practice policies on controlled substances and prescription of AD/HD medication.
Since Meaningful Change uses an integrated treatment model, utilizing psychiatric medication may often be recommended in conjunction with a course of psychotherapy or counseling. We encourage you to speak directly with our treatment providers about the most suitable treatment options for your mental health needs.
Meaningful Change: Clinical & Consultation Psychology provides psychological evaluation services across a spectrum of clinical presentations that include differential diagnostic testing, comprehensive assessments for attention deficit and learning disorders, and briefer pre-surgical evaluations for a variety of medical conditions. In addition to the routine treatment services at the practice, Dr. Sol offers a professional supervision and consultation service for limited licensed psychologists and colleagues in the mental health professions who are looking to expand or refine their expertise.
A Note About Telehealth Services
While Meaningful Change: Clinical & Consultation Psychology offers access to telehealth services based on necessity, and to ensure greater access to valuable mental health services, it is the policy of this practice to encourage in-person visits whenever possible. It remains our view that some richness and complexity inherent to the psychotherapy, counseling, and consultative dynamic is lost via the online platform.
