Mental Health Therapist
Our multi-specialty practice is looking for a master’s level mental health therapist (counselor, psychologist, or clinical social worker) to our treatment team. Candidates can expect to provide individual psychotherapy, conduct assessments, and provide optional group treatments, across the spectrum of mental health disorders. Treatment providers are encouraged to develop their own niche or specialty areas based on clinical interests and preferred age range or demographics. Consultation between colleagues and close supervision are available and encouraged.
An ideal candidate for this position is someone that is looking to further their career in clinical practice, while honing their skills within a multi-disciplinary team.
Job Description & Overview
What We Offer
Meaningful Change: Clinical & Consultation Psychology is pleased to provide a professional, clinically driven, safe, and collaborative work environment, where treatment providers can expect reliable compensation and leadership. Our clinical staff are encouraged to pursue excellence in patient care, professional development, and collegiate collaboration, while leaving the burden of administrative tasks, referrals, marketing, and finances, to our practice management team. We are proud to be a genuine multi-disciplinary practice where psychology, psychiatry, counseling and social work can collaborate to optimize patient outcomes.
Why Private Practice?
As compared to the larger group practices and medical systems, our small outpatient private practice allows clinicians to focus on their primary interest – patient care, without the burdens of bureaucratic red tape, micromanagement, or hidden expectations. Clinical staff at this practice enjoy greater decision-making autonomy, choice of clientele, freedom to tailor treatment plans, and encouragement to develop their clinical specialties. Treatment providers enjoy the flexibility of setting their work schedules within our private practice structure, are never asked to take on-call hours, and over time, may elect for a mix of in-person, and online sessions.
Required Education & Licensure
A master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, as well as commensurate licensure in the State of Michigan (LLP, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LP, etc.) is mandatory for the position. Doctorate holders will enjoy greater compensation.
While independent licensure is strongly preferred, exceptional candidates seeking post-degree supervision and training, who are an excellent long-term fit for the practice, will also be considered.
Application Process
Applications should include a resumé.
We encourage an open discussion about your career goals and goodness of fit for the practice during an in-person interview. This is required for all qualified candidates.
A cover letter with a statement of interest may be helpful in outlining your career goals. This is encouraged, though not required.
References should be apparent on the applicant’s resumé, though any letters of reference (optional) will be reviewed by the hiring manager.
All new employees (including contractual staff) will have a supervisory period to assess competence, fitness, and for the purpose of third-party credentialing.
Candidates will receive competitive hourly pay ranging from $50 - $80, based on degree, skills, experience, and hours worked. This is roughly $62,500 - $100,000 per year, based on a 50-week, 25 weekly clinical hour schedule.
